Simple Rice and Beans

Chop onion and carrots along with any vegetables, really.  Saute.
Rinse the beans.
Throw everything in a pot and cover with water or broth.
Add some spices.
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until the beans are perfect.

  1. They were pretty good. They were especially good the next day after I added ketchup and ranch dressing and ate it as a dip with some chips. Yum!
